Alaythia is marooned in a small Texas town with only dial-up internet access

I can’t believe I didn’t write anything about Alaythia yet! I enjoy all of the quotes, quizzes, and questions Alaythia posts – it makes me think of that saying, the hostess with the mostest! :-) I also want to meet her because whenever we take one of those internet quizzes, she and I always get the same results. Which only proves that she must be a supremely fascinating person… ;-D

I think she’s creating a style underlining her uniqueness.

Dh, the munchkin, and I had the privilege of meeting Pathfinder_0306 in person today. While we munched on pizza at Double Dave’s we swapped stories and got to know one another a little better. I found out that he’s patient (we were a little late), generous (he bought our lunch), and kind (he laughed at my jokes). He’s also very down-to-earth and a good listener. I think everyone should meet him. : )

FateAccompli is one of the most intelligent, insightful people I know. She’s interested in so many different subjects and she displays her competencies in them all. She is a rock for her children, and she consistently places their needs above her own. She has great dreams and is taking small steps now in order to be able to reach them.

She’s also really cool because she let me come stay with stay with her in San Diego for almost two weeks! She introduced me to several new cuisines and even volunteered to watch my munchkin (in addition to her own two) while I learned how to surf. My life is different because I know her. : )

Alaythia is a very smart and good-natured person. Today was a long long day of grumpy children, and as soon as they were in bed, we went to the store where we spontaneously decided to share a chocolate cream pie.

Joking that we would not share the pie with the children, we said we’d just have to eat the entire thing in the parking lot before we even left the store. and therefore we should buy the refrigerated kind, so we wouldn’t have to wait for it to thaw.

it was late, we were tired, and we both ended up laughing hysterically in the frozen foods aisle- reminiscing about a “diet” which consisted of meals like sauteed butterfly lips for lunch and grilled chicken eyelashes for supper, and ended up with a midnight binge of an entire cheesecake eaten directly from the freezer.

we’ve been having a great time these past few days ;)
